Hi all,

Scroll down to cut to the chase: the latest schedule information for the
Syracuse Country Dancers.

This weekend come see the "energenetically" related band, Gift of the Marcii
(Andrew, Aaron and Peggy Marcus). You can catch them twice, either Friday
night at our dance in Fayetteville, or Saturday at the Friends' dance at
Madison Hall in Morrisville. Many of you remember Andrew from when he lived
in Ithaca. Aaron has been a wonderful part of the dance community in
Syracuse for the past few years. We congratulate Aaron as he graduates this
spring, and will miss him! Here's the band's website:

Notice also that March 10th is an open microphone night for callers. These
nights are always a treat. Just as it's delightful to meet new neighbors
each time through a contra dance, it can be great fun to encounter different
callers throughout an evening. Callers and aspiring callers, it's a very
supportive crowd; come and try out a dance you'd like to share with us.

In April, there will be three changes to our regular scheduling formula.
Please note the following:

- April 1st (no joke!): We will have a dance, but not an English dance.
Rather than compete with the marvelous Binghamton Ball we are switching to
contra that night.

- April 15th (sigh, taxes): We are not scheduling a dance. This would be a
good night to check out the Ithaca dance <www.tedcrane.com/TCCD/Main.htp>.

- April 22: We have moved the dance from Friday to Saturday this weekend.
This is a special dance, co-sponsored with the Folkus Project. Talented folk
music performers, Carl Jones and Beverly Smith, will present a concert on
Friday the 21st at the May Memorial UU Church in Syracuse, and then provide
the music for our dance on Saturday night.

Note also that April contains a 5th weekend, and we will have a dance that
Saturday (the 29th).
