Thanks to many of you for turning out for the Phylla Mae Fall Fest. It was a
very successful weekend!

A couple of lost and found items did turn up at the end of the weekend. If
you are missing a pair of white trousers or a single shoe (I kid you not!),
please let us know.

There is an upcoming concert on Saturday, November 10th that we know many of
you Syracuse area dancers will enjoy. It takes place at the Westcott
Community Center (Euclid and Westcott Streets in Syracuse) and features one
of our favorite dance duos from Ithaca, Kitchen Chair--Jennifer Dotson on
fiddle and Gail Blake on Fiddle--as well as a fine folksinger named Pamela
Goddard. That's right. She's not only a wonderful caller, but a great
traditional singer as well. The concert starts at 8 pm.

We have some lovely English dancing coming up soon. This weekend's dance
features a talented caller and band from Rochester, NY: Richard Sauvain and
"Arugula." 

Our December English dance is being planned especially for experienced
English dancers, and takes place in a different location, the Masonic Temple
in Tully, NY. That evening will feature three different callers and dances
at a somewhat higher level than our usual first Saturday fare. If you
haven't tried English dancing before, we recommend that you come this
Saturday, and then you'll be experienced!
