Hi all,

We are offering a special dance this weekend, on Saturday, March 29, related
to the annual CNY Callers Gathering. The dances will be a mix of contra
dance and English country dance, similar to what happens at many dance
camps. If you're a contra dancer who has not tried English, or vice versa,
this would be a great way to find out how much fun those other people are
having! Both kinds of dance offer different kinds of satisfaction, and both
are a blast. And we know you'll love the music of the talented duo from
Ithaca: Contrapasso.

PLEASE NOTE: This dance does NOT take place in our usual location in
Fayetteville. Rather, it is at the First Presbyterian Church in Syracuse.

And there's more.... It turns out that the evening of March 29 includes
"Earth Hour." The first Earth Hour took place in Sydney, Australia in March
of 2007. This year it is being recognized in thousands of places all over
the globe. The idea is to turn off anything that uses electricity for one
hour from 8-9 PM. The purpose is to stimulate thinking and dialogue about
climate change. We've decided to try this, and so will be dancing to
unamplified music in candlelight for the first hour of our dance. We think
it will make for a very special and memorable event. We hope you can come
and share it with us.

There are other wonderful dance opportunities coming up the following
weekend. In fact, we have cancelled our dance on April 5, in order to
encourage all of you to go to the 2nd annual Fiddlehead Frolic in Ithaca
