The Fayetteville Masque

A Sunday afternoon dance party, the “Fayetteville Masque” started in May of 2021 as an early and tentative return to dancing after the COVID-19 pandemic shut it down. Currently, these happen on an occasional Sunday with COVID Protocols in place. Dancing is from 2:00-4:00 PM. After the dancing, please join us at our outdoor after-party nearby (directions provided at the Masque).

The sessions are intended as a safe place to test out something new. New callers can practice their skills and get some mentorship if they wish. Experienced callers can try out a new dance or a new way of teaching a figure. Musicians who have not played for dancing can sit in and see what it feels like. Dancers enjoy the party, and also often gain new insights into this activity we love so much.

Donations cover our rent for the space. Callers offer their time. We collect donations from dancers for musicians ($5 recommended).
